Ongoing 50-minute IFS Therapy Sessions
I offer traditional, ongoing weekly and biweekly 50-minute sessions using IFS Therapy. These sessions are usually long-term and are suitable for people who are new to therapy and/or want someone to work with on a regular basis. We will use IFS to understand the source of your anxiety, depression, anger, sadness and other symptoms you are experiencing.
Take a look at my FAQ section below. Contact me if you have more questions or if you want to schedule a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
Rate: $160 per session.
Insurance I currently accept: United Healthcare (UHC/Optum/Sutter), Carelon (Beacon Partnership)
At the core of every individual, when all the extra is peeled away, is this essential, loving, creative, wise, courageous state.

IFS therapy helps you understand yourself better by giving voice to parts of you that hold beliefs and burdens. To learn more, check out my IFS Therapy page or take a look at the IFS website at https://ifs-institute.com/. If you’re interested in reading a book about IFS, I recommend “Introduction to the Internal Family Systems Model, Second Edition,” by Dr. Richard Schwartz. I will receive your booking request by email, and I will email you back with days/times I’m available for the consultation. Once we’ve scheduled your consultation, I will call you on the day/time we agreed to have the consultation call.
-
Once you are scheduled, I will get you set up in my system, Simple Practice, which is a secure, HIPPA-compliant online platform. You will then receive a Welcome email from me through Simple Practice, which will provide some instructions and a link to the portal where you will be able to complete your profile and read/sign my intake forms before our first session.

Because our sessions are online, it’s helpful to have a private, confidential space set up for your sessions. If you like to journal, you are welcome (and encouraged) to have your journal with you in our sessions. Comforting objects accessible to you, such as stress balls, fidgets, candles, scented oils, stuffed animals, blanket, etc., can be helpful to use as sensory tools.
On the day of our sessions, you will receive an email with a link to the video session about 10 minutes before the session starts. Prior to the session, click on the link and you will enter the waiting room. Once in the waiting room, click on the button to enter the session and I will let you into the session.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are scheduled for weekly or biweekly (every other week). Our first few sessions will give you the opportunity to get a feel for how I work and to provide feedback about what you like/don’t like. If we don’t feel like a good fit, no worries! You are welcome to let me know, and I can give you referrals to other therapists.
If we feel like a good fit, we can get right to work on what brought you in to therapy or spend time focusing on your background/history and identifying goals for your therapy.
After a while, sessions typically start with a check-in/update about your week and what you noticed about the parts we’ve been working with, which will then let us segue into our ongoing work with parts.

The 50-minute ongoing IFS Therapy sessions are set up for weekly or biweekly sessions.
Weekly sessions are beneficial for people who are in need of more regular contact and are experiencing elevated symptoms of anxiety, depression, dissociation, etc., while the biweekly sessions are geared more for people who feel stable, have a good support system and don’t have as much time to meet on a weekly basis. Eventually, when we both agree you are ready, we can reduce your frequency of meeting down to monthly sessions until you feel you no longer need therapy.

For clients using insurance, I will file and submit claims to your insurance company every Friday. Your copay will be automatically charged to your card on file on the night of your session. I am open to discussing what works best for you in terms of your payment schedule and how you want to pay.
For private pay clients, your payments will be automatically charged to your card on file on the night of your session. I am open to discussing what works best for you in terms of your payment schedule and how you want to pay.

It depends! If you’ve been in therapy for some time or have a therapist but are feeling stuck and/or you want to try out IFS, Intensives could be a good fit. If you’re undecided, no problem, you are welcome to schedule a 20-minute consultation call with me to ask questions, get more details and for us to discuss what would be a better fit for you and your circumstances.
